Finding Device Name
Method one - Login screen
If you are not or cannot sign into your device, this method may be the only way to find the device name.
- On the login screen of any windows 10 device navigate to the Other User option for sign in

- Type .\ into the username box

- The device name is displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Method 2 – Settings
If you are already signed into your computer, you can find the device name in the Settings.
- Start by clicking on the Start Menu button on the taskbar

- Then open settings by clicking on the gear icon
- Select System

- Scroll to the bottom to select About on the sidebar

- The name of your device will be listed under “Device specifications”
